To Robbie Burns.. and to Gryffon and Beckett too

Robert Burns
Auld Lang Syne

Twa Dogs
He was a gash an' faithfu' tyke,
As ever lap a sheugh or dyke.
His honest, sonsie, baws'nt face
Aye gat him friends in ilka place;
His breast was white, his touzie back
Weel clad wi' coat o' glossy black;
His gawsie tail, wi' upward curl,
Hung owre his hurdie's wi' a swirl.

Twa Dogs with a bit of translation

Gryffon

Gryffon

Beckett

Beckett and Keltic on the Ottawa River
“Had we never lov'd sae kindly,
Had we never lov'd sae blindly,
Never met -- or never parted --
we had ne'er been broken-hearted”
